Shakespeare, undoubtedly created a masterpiece by writing Romeo & Juliet, the depth of love, conflicts of relationships and tragedy of death literally melts the heart but & Juliet gives another witty dimension to the classic. With the music of Swedish songwriter Max Martin who is famous for writing songs for some super talented singers like Celine Dion, Kelly Clarkson, Britney spears, Backstreetboys, Katy Perry, Ariana Grande and many more, & Juliet is a complete package. The musical has a book by David West Read who also wrote Netflix’s Schitt’s Creek, and is directed by Luke Shepherd.
& Juliet is a creative and rare idea about what if Juliet did not commit suicide after Romeo was poisoned, and decided to rewrite her own destiny. The show beautifully depicts the life of Juliet when she decides not to take her life after Romeo and goes to Paris with her best friend and Nurse, instead. The musical is a hilarious tale of a young independent woman, who knows how to have the best moments in life by taking control of her actions and decisions.
& Juliet is an exceptional musical because of its ingenious plot and remarkable music.
