Description
A fabulous wine produced from a perpetual cuvee started in 1980! 70% Meunier with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in equal proportions to prop up the blend. It is bottled in tiny numbers each year. The youngest vintage being the last 2 numbers on the label…2013. The nose exudes fragrant notes of plum and peach with plenty of depth. The palate open and enveloping, creating a wonderful texture. The finish pulls it in nicely creating a controlled end note. House Profile Both the Goutorbe and Bouillot family have a history of winemaking dating back to the early 18th century but they came together in the 1930s when Pierrette Bouillot and Jules Goutorbe married. The house is now managed by Dominique and Bastien and they look after 8 hectares, under both HVE and VD in the village of Damery. The wines show a lovely play of freshness alongside a brilliant touch of maturity.
