An unbelievable first wine from Gaspard. Pure Pinot Noir from a single vineyard, Le Mont Benoit in Villers aux Noeuds. A beautifully perfumed front end with loads of rich, smokey fruit. Blackcurrant, dark cherry with such incredible chewy engagement. The mid palate is incredibly concentrated with a lovely smooth feel to it and links nicely to the sugar on the front end. There is a delicate play of prune on the finish that lifts to reveal more concentration and complexity right at the end. What a wine! What a debut! House Profile Gaspard Brochet has exploded onto the scene in Champagne with his first wine released only this year! And a stunning wine it is… Gaspard comes from a long line of Brochet families in the area and has taken over the family business that is “Vincent Brochet”. A renowned producer in the area. Along with the existing line of wines, Gaspard went about producing something unique, something that defines him. His only wine to date, (soon to be followed by a Chardonnay and Blend released next year), is a pure Pinot Noir from the vineyard of Le Mont Benoit. Vinified in oak it is a triumph of a first attempt. We cannot wait for what else he will bring!
