Description
Flow Switch Pump Controller INSTALLATION & USE The Flow Switch controller is designed to automate the operation of an electric pump by sensing the water movement in systems that have some flow due to gravity. The opening of a tap/valve will cause a small flow of water that is detected by the unit and the pump is started, closing the tap will stop the water flow and the pump stops. The unit will also protect the pump from dry running in the event of water supply failure. The FS150 is designed for use on clean water (if there is the possibility of sediment, a suitable filter should be installed before the unit). Made from brass, it can be used for a variety of domestic and commercial water-boosting applications providing there is a positive head. For correct operation the system must have a minimum height difference of 100mm between the supply tank water head and the tap (or showerhead etc.) at the point of use. Flow Switch controllers are suitable for use in pairs to operate shower pumps on hot (max 65°c) and cold supplies, subject to the maximum electrical load (10 amps) not being exceeded. They should be connected together in parallel. TECHNICAL INFORMATION Power supply: 230v. 50Hz. Voltage tolerance /- 10%.
