Description
From the very good 1971 vintage, this red wine from the greatest St Emilion Chateau was scored 20/20 by Jancis Robinson “Wonderfully sweet, round and florally aromatic with a beautifully smooth texture. A brilliant wine, even if not a blockbuster, and one that I was given blind by owner Jacques Hébrard when I visited the château while researching The Great Wine Book in 1981. I’m delighted to be able to add a tasting note on it to our database, even if it is arguably more enthusiastic than explicatory. Still going strong.” Drink now – 2026. Bin soiled label year on cork This vintage wine is shipped in a deluxe silk lined wooden presentation box with four wine accessories (corkscrew, wine pourer, drip stopper & wine thermometer) [worth £17.99] and comes with our limited edition ‘Great First Growths of Bordeaux’ Print (worth £49.97) at no extra cost and now includes a free gift card with your personal message and tasting and storage notes.
